Passap machine knitting instructions for a drop waist dress, with transfer pattern skirt, ribbed top and picot edging.

Pattern 1940B (no photo in the model book) is the top parts of this dress used as a pattern for a simple sweater, done in stripes without the picot edging.

Materials:
* 18 oz “medium wool” (430 m per 100 g)

Test square
In transfer pattern 402 (see diagram) with U70 transfer lock: 100 sts (counting front bed needles only) = 36.5 cm, 100 rows = 20 cm
1:1 rib : 100 sts (slightly stretched) = 24 cm, 100 rows = 21 cm

Knitting Machines
The stitch sizes given in this model book are for the earlier “Pinkie” Passap. Add an extra half stitch size for the appropriate stitch size for the later DM80 and E6000 machines.

Transfer tools other than the U70 can be used, or the transfers can be done manually.

By following the schematic, this pattern can be adapted for use in other standard gauge knitting machines.

The pattern is pictured p6 of the model book (p7 of the pdf), the instructions are on p14 of the instruction book (p34 of the pdf).
