Passap machine knitting instructions for a striped shirt knit in mock rib (see diagram 1). The button bands and the collar are knit in long stitch (diagram 2). Short rows are used to create a collar stand and a folding collar.

This is turned into a woman’s shirt dress by following the adaptations for 1952A.

19 ½ ozs linen/cotton yarn:

  • 7 ozs yellow
  • 5½ ozs turquoise
  • 3½ ozs navy blue

Knitting Machines
The stitch sizes given in this model book are for the earlier “Pinkie” Passap. Add an extra half stitch size to get the appropriate stitch size for the later DM80 and E6000 machines.

Instructions are also given in this pattern for the Passap Combi.

By following the schematic, this pattern can be adapted for use in other standard gauge knitting machines.

The pattern is pictured p5 of the model book (p6 of the pdf), the instructions on pages 27-29 of the instruction book (p47-49 of the pdf).
