1960 Lady's dress and jacket
Passap machine knitting instructions for a sleeveless dress with accompanying jacket / cardigan. The dress, knit in stocking stitch with the purlside outwards, has darts and waist shaping. The diamond details at the waist (which are echoed on the cardigan’s bodice and cuffs) are made by transferring stitches from the front bed to the back following the chart.
Materials:
* 25 ozs synthetic yarn with linen
Test square
In stocking stitch purlside outwards: 100 sts = 35 cm, 100 rows = 24 cm
Knitting Machines
The stitch sizes given in this model book are for the earlier “Pinkie” Passap. Add an extra half stitch size for the appropriate stitch size for the later DM80 and E6000 machines.
Instructions are also given in this pattern for the Passap Combi.
By following the schematic, this pattern can be adapted for use in other standard gauge knitting machines.
