Passap machine knitting instructions for a short, sideways knit skirt, knit with short row pleats of longstitch and purl stitch. A separately knitted waistband (“belt”) is knitted and sewn on to finish the skirt. A button closes the waistband at the back.

Materials:

  • 12 oz. medium synthetic yarn (the pattern suggests a yarn with 440 meters per 100 grams / 126 yds per oz.)

In long stitch pattern with purl stitch stripes: 100 sts = 20.5 cm (8 1/8”), 100 rows = 18 cm (7 1/8”)

Knitting Machines
The stitch sizes given in this model book are for the earlier “Pinkie” Passap. Add an extra half stitch size to get the appropriate stitch size for the later DM80 and E6000 machines.

By following the schematic, this pattern can be adapted for use in other standard gauge knitting machines.
