This pattern is available for free.

This pattern is a result of a friend who wanted boot cuffs with a cable, but also wanted ones that could be folded over her boot. So I created two-in-one cuffs!

They can be worn with the long ribbing side up and folded over your boot, or flipped over and worn with the cable showing. These are simple to knit, take less than a typical skein and knit up fast!

Techniques:

  • Cast on
  • Working in the round
  • Knit, purl, slip
  • Basic cabling
  • Bind off in the round

Materials needed:

  • Approximately 175 yards of worsted weight yarn
  • Size 7 US (4.5mm) 16-inch circular needles
  • One cable needle in the same size
  • Size 5 (3.5mm) 16 inch circular needle (optional), if you like to use a smaller size needle for the ribbing.
  • Stitch marker to mark beginning of round

Sizing:
Instructions are to knit an adult S/M, with adjustments for children and adult L.
Finished length: 8.5 inches, finished circumference (widest part): 11 inches
