** This listing is for the 2in1 Hooded Triceratops Dinosaur Blanket pattern only **

The Hooded Dinosaur Blanket is the first in a long line of animal hooded blankets I am planning to make.

What great idea! This beautiful 2 in 1 hooded dinosaur blanket is also a decoration for your room. Use it to keep warm and snugly, and when you are done with it, fold it and display it on your sofa, bed or armchair.

The blanket is suitable for girls or boys alike and comes in two version: triceratops or stegosaurus so you can choose the design you like best.

It is designed to be a full body blanket. The pattern includes child and adult size hood and mittens.

The actual blanket can also be customised to fit a child or an adult and the pattern is explained in a way that you can make it as big or small as you would like it to be.

Made with super chunky (super bulky / #6) yarn, this blanket is warm and soft, and works up in no time.

The pattern will create a blanket size 110cm by 130cm (43.5in by 51in). To customise the blanket, measure the distance from wrist to wrist (with the hands stretched) for the width and shoulder to floor for the length.

I recommend this pattern to beginners who are familiar with the basic crochet stitches such as single crochet and double and who have attempted amigurumi before. All methods and techniques are explained in detailed with step by step explanation and pictures.

Pattern will be available for instant download upon payment.

You will receive a 41 page detailed illustrated tutorial including a print friendly pattern in large print at the end. Written in US terms.

Supplies used:

  • 13 x 100g balls of super chunky (super bulky/ #6) in green
  • 2 x 100g balls of super chunky (super bulky/ #6) in gray
  • small quantity of dk yarn (light worsted yarn) in gray for the 3 horns and eyes
  • small quantities of dk yarn (light worsted yarn) in white and black for the eyes (optional) polyfill stuffing
  • crochet hooks sizes 4mm and 10mm (optional a 11mm hook for the initial chain and first row if you are a tight crocheter)
  • blunt sewing needle to fit the yarn used to stitch the parts together
  • scissors
  • sewing pins

As this is a blanket made specifically for a teenager, I will list the rough sizes and quantities needed to make a standard blanket for a child and and adult. Hopefully this will help you decide how much yarn you will need for your project.
