Depending on you mood, wear it as a cardigan or a top / sweater. Transformation is done by lacing 2 parts in different ways. It would take you 10 minutes to change between styles!

• Ch (chain), sl st (slip stitch), sc (single crochet), hdc (half double crochet), dc (double crochet), tr (treble).

• 2.75 mm, 1.9 mm (for laces only)

Recommended materials:

• Sport Weight yarn (about 176.3yds / 161.2m / 50 g) in 4 colors: 30g / 1.1oz / 105.5yds in Brown, 70g / 2.5oz / 247yds in Dark Red, 220g / 7.8 oz / 775.5yds in Green, 420g / 14.9oz / 1481yds in Purple. Suitable yarn: Scheepjes Cotton 8, Scheepjes Bamboo Soft, Scheepjes Sunkissed.
• Shown here Halcyon Yarn Homestead 8/2 Cotton Yarn (lace weight, 100% unmercerized cotton, 353yds / 322m per 50g; shrinks after washing). Doubled to sport weight. 30g / 1.1oz / 211yds / 1 mini-cone in Light Brown, 70g / 2.5oz / 494yds / 1 mini-cone in Wine, 220g / 7.8oz / 1551yds / 1 lb cone in Special Green, 420g / 14.9oz / 2961yds / 1 lb cone in Grape. 1 mini-cone is 600 yards. Double for the project. Use kitchen scale to check when winding half of needed yarn weight in a separate ball. After scale shows the half of weight you need, form a new ball of doubled yarn.
• Crochet hooks 2.75mm and 1.9mm (for laces only), locking marker, tapestry needle, fabric stiffener or fabric glue (optional).

Size:

• One size fits Medium, Large, Extra Large, Extra Extra Large / M, L, 1X, 2X / 38, 42, 46, 50’’ / 96.5, 106.5, 117, 127 cm bust circumference.
• Model size is Medium / 38’’ / 96.5 cm bust circumference, 5’ 6’’ / 168 cm height.

Gauge:

• Motif side is about 11 cm / 4 5/16’’.
• 7 blocks wide x 7 blocks (14 rows) of block stitch = 11 cm / 4 5/16’’ x 10.5 cm / 4 1/8’’ made with 2.75 mm hook.

Notes:

• 2 halves of top are equal and made separately. Right side of cardigan: motifs R1 – R20, left side: motifs L1- L20.
• All parts of each side joined as you go.
• 2 halves are connected into a cardigan or a sweater by lacing.
