This instructions  explain row by row how to make a mug rug.

 The colors that I used for this little square are:
For color A :Hobbii we love yarn simple cotton 8/4 in color 04
For color B: Hobbii we love yarn simple cotton 8/4 in color 22
You can work tis pattern in rows or rounds.
To work it in the round you need to multiply the repeat × 2, 3, etc. until you obtain the desired size then close the  round with a slip stitch. You will follow the rows as for the flat work but without cutting the yarn.  You  slip stiche at the end of the round, joining the last stitch worked with the first stitch of the round, change color and follow the next row.

Yarn and hooks

You can use any type of yarn you have or like.

You will need at least 2 colors. Use the hook that suits you yarn.

Note: I always use 0.5 mm hook smaller than racommended for a more smooth texture.

     For this mug rug, I’m using Simple Cotton 8/4 from Hobbii and a 2 mm crochet hook.
Approximately 12 gr of color 22 turquoise blue and 11 gr of color 04 very light blu
     
With 1 skein of blu and 1 skein of light blu, using a 2 mm crochet hook you will obtain 4 mug rugs.

Size

The size of the square will depend on the size of yarn and hook you will use.

My 2 Of Spades  is approximately 16×16 cm large.
