Pattern description from Knit.1, Winter 2007/2008: “She may be too young for the classic pink Chanel suit, but it’s never too early to plant the seed. Fayla Reiss knits a ribbon-closed top side to side; the pants, from cuffs to waist. The black portions are stitch in ‘Otto’ and the pink in ‘Minestrone,’ both from Lane Borgosesia/Trendsetter Yarns.”

• 2 (3, 3, 4) balls in #11 Fruit Salad of Minestrone by Trendsetter Yarns, Inc., 3½oz/100g balls each approx 110yd/100m (polyamide/acrylic/polyester metallic)
• 4 (5, 6, 8) balls in #11 Balck of Merino Otto 8-Ply by Lane Borgosesia, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 100yd/92m (merino wool)
• One pair size 8 (5mm) needles or size to get the gauge
• Size 8 (5mm) circular needle, 24”/60cm length
• Size G/6 (4.5mm) crochet hook
• 2yd/2m of 7/8”/22mm wide silk ribbon
