The perfect transitional weather accessory, this slouchy beanie is knit in fingering weight yarn at a gauge that creates a soft, breathable fabric. The double thickness stockinette brim keeps your ears warm on chilly evenings. Designed to be fully reversible while really showcasing hand painted and speckled yarns.

Skills Needed:
Provisional cast on
3 needle seam (similar to 3 needle bind off)
Knitting in the round
Decreasing

Knit almost completely in stockinette stitch, it is designed to let the yarn be the star. The brim is double-sided stockinette, making the hat reversible. Wear it with the all-stockinette side showing, or turn it inside out to show off the reverse stockinette side.

There is about 2 inches of negative ease written into the pattern for each size. The preemie and newborn sizes are written to have little to no slouch for safety reasons. The other sizes are written to be slouchy. You can add more or less slouchyness by adjusting how many inches you knit before the decreases
