2008 Knitted Lace Snowflake
The 2008 snowflake.
This is a free pattern for you to use and share.
It is one of the three patterns that come with my new Interchangeable Blizzard of Snowflakes Kit. This new kit features three snowflakes with 3 sections each and comes with 3 of the starts on threads so that the hard part (putting a couple of stitches on 3 needles) is made easy for you. You just slide the stitches onto your needles! Mix and match the sections to make a possible 27 snowflakes - each one different as it should be! The kit is $18 and includes the three starts, enough cotton thread to make 9 or 10 snowflakes and full instructions.
Visit my site for the free pattern and how to order the full kit!
The beginning of these pieces can be any center medallion cast-on you like. My current favorite is a variation of the one I call “perfect”. Lesley Ewing took a video of this at a recent class. You can see it at this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fJwxEt0aog.
