Rectangle shawl created for the Yarn Twisters 2020 Advent Calendar. This simple design is knit from the middle out so the two sides are mirror images of each other. Buttons are added to one short side and half of one long side to allow for multiple ways to style.

Yarn:
Colour 1: 1 skein Yarn Twisters Silvery Sock Yarn, 60%
Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon, 20% Stellina, 366 m
(400 yards)/100 grams

Colours 2, 3, 4, and 5: Yarn Twisters Superwash Sock
Yarn, 146 m (160 yards)/40 grams of each colour

Gauge: 26 sts by 22 rows equal 4” by 4” in stockinette after blocking

Needles: 4 mm (US 6) 32” circular needles, or size
needed to obtain gauge

Notions: 4 mm crochet hook, waste yarn, 12 stitch
markers (optional), darning needle, 13 1” buttons

Finished size: Length: 67” (170 cm); Depth: 21” (53.5
cm)

Note: This shawl can be knit with no buttons or button holes, simply follow the 1st half of shawl instructions for the 2nd half of the shawl! Alternatively, you could add small buttons on any edge and use the lace in the pattern as your button holes
