For these christmas projects I used Scheepjes Twinkle yarn in beige (938) and green (923). This yarn has a beautiful shimmer because of the lurex yarn it contains, which makes the final result very shiny and very suitable for christmas.

I used green for color 1 and beige for color 2.

The balls are 50 grams and have, depending on the color 130 (green) or 150 (beige) meters. Check this when you’re buying the colors you want to use. The yarns differ a bit, but it works good combining them. With yarn of the same thickness you need the same amount for both colors, just a tiny bit more for color 1.

For the placemats (44 x 30 squares) I used about 71 grams of the green and 54 grams of the beige. The placemat with the presents is the same size and uses the same amount of yarn.

The table runner is 134 x 34 squares, so if you would like to use the same twinkle yarn you can do the math as follows. For color 1 ( (134 x 34 ) / (44 x 30) ) x 71 gram = 245 gram. For color 2 ( (134 x 34 ) / (44 x 30) ) x 54 gram = 186 gram.

I used hooksize 4.5 mm.

The size of the placemats are 46 cm x 32 cm. The table runner will be 140 cm x 36 cm.

Do a couple of rows of one of the placemats as a gauge swatch. Check if the width of your work is the same as the measurement mentioned before.

Voor deze kerst projecten heb ik Scheepjes Twinkle garen gebruikt in beige (938) en groen (923). Dit garen heeft een mooie glinstering door het lurexgaren dat erin is verwerkt, en dat het eindresultaat een sprankelend effect geeft dat zeer geschikt is voor kerst.

Ik heb groen als kleur 1 en beige als kleur 2 gebruikt.

De bollen zijn 50 gram en hebben afhankelijk van de kleur 130 (groen) of 150 (beige)meter looplengte. Check dit bij aankoop van de kleur die je koopt! Het garen verschilt enigszins, maar het werkt prima als je ze combineert. Bij garen van dezelfde dikte heb je voor beide kleuren vrijwel evenveel nodig, slechts een klein beetje meer van kleur 1.

Voor de placemats (44 x 30 hokjes) heb ik ongeveer 71 gram van het groen en 54 gram van het beige gebruikt. De placemat met de kadootjes heeft dezelfde afmeting en verbruikt evenveel garen.

De tafelloper is 134 x 34 hokjes, dus als je daarvoor hetzelfde Twinkle garen wil gebruiken kan je de benodigde hoeveelheid als volgt berekenen. Voor kleur 1 ( (134 x 34 ) / (44 x 30) ) x 71 gram = 245 gram. Voor kleur 2 ( (134 x 34 ) / (44 x 30) ) x 54 gram = 186 gram. Maar let hier ook weer even op! Als je garen gebruikt in de dikte van het groen, gebruik dan ook voor kleur 2 245 gram.

Ik heb haaknaald 4.5 mm gebruikt.

Maak een paar toeren van een van de placemats als proeflapje. Controleer of de breedte van je werk overeenstemt met de hiervoor gegeven afmeting.
