In ye olden days of Dungeons & Dragons, magic was split in two. There was the Divine, magic gifted from gods or holy powers, and then there was the Arcane. Arcane was power that you pulled from the universe.

Note that this pattern has options for different sized squares by using different weight yarns (sport, fingering) and corresponding needle sizes (3.5 mm, 2.75 mm), as well as both knitting and crochet instructions.
