This Advent pattern is a triangular shawl full of all the things I love about knitting: colours, surprises, lace work, cables, textures, and edgings that go on for hundreds of stitches.

There are 24 days of knitting.
There are 24 patterns.
Each pattern can be used on any of the 24 days.

This should lead to a shawl right on Christmas Day.

Every year I publish an advent shawl. Usually there is a choice of patterns for each day. This year I’m making it slightly different.

There are 24 patterns and instructions for how to knit them on any of the 24 days. You still get to choose and make the shawl your own.

The format is slightly different from the previous shawls so look through all the patterns before deciding.

You’ll have the whole potential shawl in front of you from the start.

The pattern will be published by 1 December.
