Mystery Mini Skein Advent Mini Shawl Knit-A-Long.

This pattern will be updated daily with x 25 daily colour work charts starting on 1st December 2024.

The finished triangular mini shawl will measure approximately 130cm long by 32cm wide (at its widest point) and will be knitted using colourwork techniques.

This pattern requires:

• 24 x 10g merino blend sock yarn mini skeins. 1 per day (10g = 42.5m). 22 x solid colours & 2 x variegated mini skeins. Totalling 1,020m yarn.

• 100g/425m cream/undyed sock yarn.

• 3mm knitting needles. I recommend using cabled needles as the maximum width of the scarf will be 32cm approx.

This pattern has been designed to accompany the Folkestone Harbour Yarn 2024 naturally dyed advent calendar, which can be purchased from folkestoneharbouryarn.com .

It will work with other mini skein sets, or using sock yarns from your stash, but the ‘intended’ colour for each daily section will be available only in the FHY 2024 naturally dyed advent calendar.

Techniques used for the pattern will be:
Stocking/stockinette stitch. 2 colour and some 3 colour colourwork. Reading from a colourwork chart. Simple increases & decreases. I-cord edge.
