Pattern description from Knit Simple, Fall 2006: “Alternating garter ridges and slip stitches in various shades contrast with the jacket’s solid stockinette background and complement the moss-stitch collar and cuffs.”

Knit Tip: “The frog detailing is merely a twirled I-cord sewn in place; ditto the sleeve bracelets.”

Materials:

  • Overture by S.R. Kertzer, 1.4oz/40g balls, each approx 84yd/76m (mohair/viscose/nylon/acrylic/metalized polyester)
  • 9 (11, 13) balls in #2165 multi (MC)
  • Super 10 by S.R. Kertzer, 4.4oz/125g hanks, each apporx 250yd/230m (mercerized cotton)
  • 2 balls in #3606 green (A)
  • 1 ball each in #3463 mauve (B), #3358 gold (C) and #3734 dk green (D)
  • One pair each sizes 5 and 6 (3.75 and 4mm) needle or size to obtain gauge
  • Two size 6 (4mm) dpn (for I-cord) or a Knitting Knobby
  • Two safety pins
  • One separating zipper 16”/40cm long
