The lining of this hat is identical to the exterior - that means that the wearer can turn up the “Brim” and maintain the color pattern. The two pieces are sewn together with wrong sides together at the eye slit and the neck.

This hat takes a minimum amount of yarn. Most machine knitters will have enough on partial cones in their stash. I used 2/24 acrylic. Brand is not important. If you use 2/24 acrylic and tension 8 on your standard gauge machine, the gauge will be close enough.

Color 1 (MC) – 1 strand grey and 1 strand black. My gray was actually a very fine acrylic boucle yarn from my stash.

Color 2 (CC1) – 1 strand Maroon and 1 strand brown.

Color 3 (CC2) – 2 strands bright red 2/24 or 1 strand of 3/15 red.
