Materials:

• Japanese size 5, 7, & 8 knitting needles (3.6, 4.2, & 4.5mm)
• Japanese size 6/0 crochet hook (3.5mm)
• 2 buttons (18mm diameter)

Gauge (in 10cm square):

• pattern stitch A: with largest needles, 17 st and 23 rows

• pattern stitch A: with medium-sized needles, 19 st and 23 rows

• pattern stitch B: with medium-sized needles, 19 st and 23 rows

• garter stitch: with smallest needles, 19 st and 33 rows

• garter stitch: with medium-sized needles, 19 st and 32 rows
