The 222 Sweater knitting pattern suitable for advanced knitters. The pattern uses the ‘two coloured brioche’ technique that is modified to create a 2x2 ribbing. Hence the name ‘222 sweater’. The sweater has a little bit of positive ease and a dropped shoulder. The body is shaped, so around the waist it will be a little bit more fitted to prevent the sweater from stretching out. This sweater can be made for any gender in sizes XS through 5XL.

Materials needed for the 222 sweater

  • 3 (4) 4 (5) 5 (6) 6 (7) 8 balls of Hobbii Friends Divina in the colour 22 and 3 (4) 4 (5) 5 (6) 6 (7) 8 balls of the same yarn in the colour 15.
  • A 20cm zipper, for example this one.
  • 5mm circular needles in 80, 100 or 120 cm in length, depending on the size you prefer. It is necessary to use circular needles for this technique.
  • Either double pointed or extra short circular 5mm needles for the sleeves. OR use the same longer needles with magic loop method
  • Scissors

  • A sewing needle for sewing in the zipper.
