A beautifully open lace stitch begs to be knit up in a deserving yarn. This stunning blue/grey, light-as-smoke, kid mohair and silk yarn is a perfect choice.

The softness of the yarn comes through, while allowing the full beauty of the lace to show. Simple moss stitch borders keep the edges neat, while never taking focus away from the lace.

The pattern of decreases within the lace gives a depth to the finished fabric, like shadows along the leaf edges.

The lace is charted and written out. As you work the 12-row repeat of the lace pattern over and over, you’ll settle into an nice groove with the pattern.

Only two 25 gram balls of the yarn were needed to complete this long stole, making this a budget-friendly project, as well as an ultra-lightweight accessory that you can use for many occasions.

NOTE: Knit picks confirmed with me that Aloft is 260 yards per ball, which is why the required yardage here is the 2 x 260 = 520 yards. Here on Ravelry, Aloft is listed at 246 yards per ball, which I believe is incorrect.
