Knit in a wool/cotton blend, 24 is a hat great for those transitional season days, like this rainy windy Spring in Toronto day. Light yet cosy, 24 is roomy enough for dreads or masses of big beautiful curls.

From pattern…

I knit 24 (as in inches, 60.96cm just doesn’t have the same ring) while working out a generic hat formula for bigheaded me. I wanted something roomy for my hair and comfortable for my head. I chose Spud & Chloe’s Sweater, one of my favourite yarns, because the cotton-wool blend wears well and is suitable for multi-season wear. Plus, those colours, those colours!

NOTE: 24 took approximately half of each skein so one skein, 150 metres, should be enough for a solid colour hat. However, leave yourself a little extra wiggle room. Link to jogless stripes tutorial from TechKnitting.
