#253 Mirabella
I love a yarn that drapes beautifully, so I’m taking advantage of this silky merino one by featuring its fabulous drape front and center!
This draped neckline sweater is elegant and casual at the same time, which is often my go-to look these days.
Simple shaping allows the draped neckline to take center stage. Back and front are knit straight up, one in Stockinette stitch and one in Lace. Both have gently slanted shoulders, worked with short row shaping. The front has the knit-in neckline insert gradually increased between lace panels, ending with a little bit of ribbing to for a clean top edge.
Sleeves are picked up and knit down (as rows or in the round) with lace cuffs to echo the front lace pattern.
This is a relaxed, yet definitely sophisticated sweater that you’ll love to wear year-round.
FINISHED BUST MEASUREMENTS: 38 ½ (43, 49, 53 ½, 60)“ / 98 (109, 124.5, 136, 152.5) cm. This sweater is intended to have ~4-8” / 10-20 cm of positive ease. Please choose best size based on desired ease at Bust. Sleeve length could then be adjusted as they are knit from the top down.
