Passap knitting machine instructions for a boy’s outfit consisting of shorts and a v-neck sweater. The sweater is knit in single bed fairisle. The patterning can be done manually by following the chart given, or automatically using Deco punchcard 56. The shorts are knit in interlock stitch (every needle both beds, both locks set to BX both arrows, pushers in work alternately up and down).

The pattern calls for 330 g “fairly fine mohair/acrylic” (600m per 100g), 260 g blue and 70 g white. A length of elastic is required for the waistband in the shorts.

Test squares:
Single bed fairisle: 100 sts = 33 cm, 100 rows (RC 200) 26 cm
Interlock stitch: 100 sts = 14.5 cm, 100 rows = 13,5 cm
