An Elegant Little Wrap for the First Time Lace Knitter

This pattern is the result of my playing around with circle
segments coupled with my desire to feature lace in
this newsletter.

A lot of lace is heirloom work—not a good start for a
new to lace knitter. Shawls are large & are not universally
appreciated. A scarf? Pretty boring. I finally decided
on the idea of working a simple doily pattern on enormous needles and put a hole at the center for the
head to pass through.

This is not an original idea. My contribution consists of
removing 25% of the circle to reduce the excess bulk
around the body.
