#274 Rory Ribbed Hat
Something about the fisherman’s rib makes it an oh-so-comforting and cozy pattern to knit and wear!
The squishiness of the ribbing is due to working regular knit one, purl one ribbing, but with every other stitch worked into the stitch below. This adds depth to the fabric and a nicely defined ribbed texture. And since this hat is knit in the round, there are no seams, allowing it to be worked up rather easily and quickly!
The hat can be knit up in one color, color blocked, or with irregular stripes, as shown. I used up leftover bits of an aran-weight alpaca blend for a fun and very warm hat.
The ribbing is very stretchy, so one size does easily fit all for this one!
