#282 Candlelight Shawl
Frothy, silky lace surrounds your neck or shoulders with this delicate rectangular shawl.
The kid mohair and silk blend yarn is technically a lace-weight yarn, but when knit up on larger needles, it produces a warm, yet airy and light fabric.
The allover lace pattern features staggered motifs resembling candlelights. Set against the Stockinette stitch background, the placement of the motifs creates gentle medallion shapes throughout the length of this shawl.
The intermediate level lace becomes more intuitive and easier to work as you repeat it over and over.
Lace is both charted and written. Length of stole is easily adjusted by working more or fewer repeats of the lace pattern.
Shown in Elann Silken Kydd, but easily substituted with the other Kid Mohair and Silk blends. Some suggested ones listed above.
GAUGE: 20 sts = 4 ¼“ / 11 cm and 24 rows = 4 ¾” / 12 cm in Lace patt, blocked
