I do not have a gauge for this pattern but I do tend to crochet a little more tightly than most. You want the tunic to be loose since it is open-weave and needs to be worn over another top.

The top is worked in 3 parts.

1. Middle – worked from the neck down
2. 1 arm – worked from shoulder down
3. 1 arm – worked from shoulder down
