2way Bucket Bag
This pattern is fully written and charted.
Designed with functionality in mind, this bag can be carried two ways - by hand or over the shoulder. The firm base and textured stitches help it keep its shape, while the simple design lets the raw of linen stand out.
MATERIALS
✦ Lala linen yarn (210g/320yd) (55% linen; 45% cotton) 1&⅓ ball
✦ 3.00mm crochet hook
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Approximately 5.3” (13.5cm) in diameter at base, 8.9” (22.5cm) tall, strap 51.2” (130cm) long
GAUGE
20 stitches x 22 rows = 4” x 4” (10 x 10cm)
CONSTRUCTION
This bag is crocheted in joined rounds, worked from the bottom up. You will begin with the base, increasing until reaching the proper diameter, then you will work rounds without any increases to form the sides of your bag. A round of eyelets is worked near the top of the bag into which you will weave a crocheted drawstring (also strap in this work) to cinch your bag closed.
NOTE
You can use any yarn to make this bag, just make sure to use correct hook size with your yarn. Easily adjust your bag by increasing or decreasing the number of rounds in the base, and rows in the body. However, please keep in mind that modifying the round count may change the positioning of the eyelets.
