Gauge is obtained on the US 7, the US 9 is for binding off only.

These are knit 2-at-a-time, on one long circular needle (you can use your favorite method, dpns, or two circulars if you prefer)

The finished circumference is approximately 15.5” when stretched fully. They should easily fit over a pair of jeans and fold over your boot. They can easily be modified by either increasing or decreasing by 4 sts (2 sts per side, per cuff).
