Knit in 2x2 rib in chunky/bulky/#5 yarn this cowl looks great with large buttons. It grows fast for quick and cozy results!

The cowl is knit on straight needles with instructions for a twisted rib (knit into the back of knit stitches) but would work equally well in a standard rib.

This would be a great pattern for a beginner. Using only knit and purl stitches and the simplest of buttonholes.
