3. Fifty Shades: Slate
This thong is part of my Fifty Shades Knits project. The third project out of 50 specifically.
What started out as a gag actually ended up being one of the most comfortable pairs of underwear I own. It includes a self-facing liner like store bought underwear but is way more fashionable. Fruit of my…knitting needles?
Knit in Pediwick, this thong is breathable and very stretchy. So, if you are between sizes, go with the smaller option.
The lace repeat is over 10 stitches and is 16 stitches x 21 rows = 2” unblocked and 10 stitches x 16 rows = 2” blocked. The lace will stretch well around your hips but tends to roll at the top and bottom when unblocked so block lightly horizontally and vigorously vertically.
Errata- there are a couple that have been brought to my attention. They are as follows:
Front section- repeat the decrease row a total of 6(8, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16) times. 48 (48, 50, 52, 56, 60, 68) stitches remain.
Cast-on for liner - 48 (48, 50, 52, 56, 60, 68) stitches.
Repeat the decreases until 12(12, 12, 16, 16, 20, 20) stitches remain, 6(6, 6, 8, 8, 10, 10) per side and after knitting sides together.
If you come across any sizing issues, please, let me know so I can fix them.
