#30 Infinity Scarf
Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Winter 2009/10: “A knit/purl herringbone pattern graces the entirety of Blair Brown’s neckpiece, worked in Tilli Tomas’s ‘Elsie.’ The ends are sewn together to form a ring, creating an infinity scarf that can be looped and worn a number of ways.”
“Extra long scarf worked in a knit-purl herringbone pattern and joined at the ends to form a circle.”
Knitted Measurements: Approximately 11 x 90”/28 x 228.5cm
Materials:
- 8 1¾oz/50g hanks (each approx 135yd/123m) of Tilli Tomas, Elsie (wool/silk/milk protein) in burnt olive
- One pair size 6 (4mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGES
- Tapestry needle
Gauge:
- 26 sts and 32 rows = 4”/10cm over chart pat using size 6 (4mm) needles
- TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE
Note: All charted sts are worked through the back loop. The last st of every row (not on chart) is knitted through the front as usual.
