Wear as a shell top, or a vest over a blouse or turtle neck sweater.
I used ww yarn and a 6 mm hook.
You can use any size yarn and any size hook, because the
foundation chain is worked to 1/2 your chest measurement.
Worked bottom up, so make it cropped or tunic length.

This easy crochet vest or sleeveless shell top is simple enough for beginners. Two identical SECTIONS are made, then sewn together with the same yarn and a yarn needle at the shoulders and side seams. You can leave slits on the bottom if you like, and this sweater can be made any size because you begin with a foundation chain that is 1/2 the size of your chest or hips, depending on how long you want your sweater to be. I used ww yarn (Bernat Premium) and a size 6 mm hook. Begin the foundation chain loosely, or use a larger hook for the foundation row only. Make these easy tops in a cropped length, or a tunic length.
