MATERIALS AND TOOLS

The bag is made of Kable by Moscow Yarn Company (100% cotton, 430 m/100 g) and Sunny by Troitsk Yarn Company (100% cotton, 425 m/100 g). Eyes are made with one strand of yarn, and all the other parts of the bag are made with two strands of yarn held together.

You can use any Fingering yarn or 2 times thicker yarn if you want to use only 1 strand of yarn for the main parts. 2 times thicker yarn would be any DK yarn, which is approximately 210 m per 100 g skein.

Attention! You can use cotton or acrylic yarn to make the bag. If you use acrylic yarn, do not steam the bag, as it will lose its shape.

You will need:
• any fingering yarn (100% cotton) of the following colors:

  • White: 15 g
  • Brown: 15 g
  • Green: 35 g
  • Beige: 75 g
  • Red: 85 g
  • leftovers of black and pink • 16 round buttons of white colour (10-12 mm in diameter) • 4 green round buttons (18-12 mm in diameter) • 1-mm steel crochet hook • 2-mm steel crochet hook

NOTE! The eyes are made with one strand of yarn with a 1 mm steel crochet hook, and all the other parts of the bag are made with two strands of yarn held together using a 2 mm steel crochet hook.

NOTE! If you want to make a bigger bag, you can use thicker yarn with a suitable crochet hook. In this case, make sure that the buttons you choose are bigger, too.
