TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS DESIGN
Links to videos for selected techniques are included. I look for videos as close as possible to the instructions I have written. Sometimes they may be slightly different but still very helpful.
• Long tail cast-on
• k1, p1 ribbing
• bind-off
• Stockinette stitch
• Minimal amount of intarsia for bicolor sleeves
• All the stitches that are added by increasing for separate sleeves are worked in a contrasting color.
• The stitches at each edge in the contrasting color for pick-up and knit sleeves are eliminated as you decrease
• Pick-up and knit stitches
• Duplicate stitch for star motif
Babies and children vary a lot in size, it is helpful to use the “Actual Measurement of Finished Garment” to decide which size to make.
