3D Flower Granny Blanket
I had a lot of fun making this blanket. It’s a simple pattern so perfect for beginners, but the challenge of colour work makes it interesting for the more experienced crocheter.
The challenge is to choose 7 colours and work out colour combinations so no 2 squares are the same. if you use jusr 2 colours per plain square there are 21 colour combinations and with a 3rd colour for the flower there are well over 100 combinations.
I used 2 of each colour plus 2 white to crochet the squares together. you can make this lap blanket as big as you like, either by doing more squares or by doing more rows around each square.
I used Katia cotton 100 and a 4mm hook. I have also done it in King Cole Merino DK with a 4mm hook but you can get away with a 4.5mm hook.
This pattern is very flexible in that you can you any weight yarn and any size hook that works with your yarn choice.
Hope you have fun x
