This Shetland-style baby shawl begins with a centre square worked in stocking stitch and cast off. The border is worked from picked up stitches on one side at a time. Then a few stitches are cast on for the edging which is knitted sideways and attached to the live border stitches as it is worked. When all four sides have been completed the border/edging corners are seamed together using herringbone stitch.

No row gauge information is listed on the pattern.

Finished size is 48 inches square.

The recommended yarn, Robin Bambino Supersoft 3 ply, is listed on the pattern as a 40g ball however no yardage information is mentioned, so the total estimated yardage is an estimate based on the similar Robin Bonny Babe 3 ply information.
