The good news… when my son was in 3rd grade, his class did a super fun & educational science unit on crayfish. The bad news… my son was one of the “lucky winners” who got to take a crayfish home at the end of the unit, and it lived FOREVER. This pattern (with its cable stitch on the leg that looks like a crayfish claw) is written in memory of the 3rd grade crayfish. May he rest in peace.

3rd Grade Crayfish Socks are worked top down and have a fun little cable on the leg that continues down the sides of the foot. The pattern comes in 5 sizes, so they’ll fit anyone from a 3rd grader up to an adult with big feet. Both written directions and charts are provided. The pattern is easy to memorize, making this a great project to knit on the go.
