4 LETTER SWEATER
Based on the OG worn by Willy Cartier in the DEGEN FW12 collection :o)
PATTERN NOTES:
This pattern comes with the charts for all letters and will walk you
through the steps of how to place any 4 letters on the center front. The sample is knit using “YUCK” but this pattern allows for any 4 letter word and is easily adaptable for more or fewer letters.
FIT:
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL)(4X, 5X) 38 (42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 62)(66, 72)” chest circumference for the finished sweater. Fit notes: This sweater is a classic fit with a slightly dropped shoulder. The sleeve tapers t for a genderless fit. Please see the fit chart. The yellow sample is a size SMALL.
CONSTRUCTION:
The sweater is worked from the bottom up in panels to allow for intarsia colorwork. Once the front and back body are complete and the shoulder seams created, the sleeves are knit on. The side seam and under arm seam are then created all in one go. The folded neck is also knit on. All DEGEN sweaters are designed to allow for the maker to adapt for their body- so feel free to add length to the sleeve // body or shorten for a more cropped look. The pattern lets you know where the best spots to add or remove length are. We recommend you grab a sweater you love, pick the closest width size and mimic those length measurements.
MATERIALS:
MAIN COLOR: This pattern is knit with Harrisville Designs
Highland yarn. I chose to knit with the main color on cones
and the secondary color on a skein but cone/skein will not
impact the outcome. The sample was knit in color MARIGOLD
555 (583, 635, 671, 700, 752, 789)(850, 902)grams
LETTERS: This pattern is knit with Harrisville Designs Highland
