40-Yard Dash
The 40-Yard Dash is a sprint test that college football and NFL scouts use to evaluate recruits. Good football players can run these 40 yards in under 4.5 seconds- that’s the same distance they will have to run from the line of scrimmage to where a punt will land.
These two-color socks feature a textured front (see those tiny footballs?!) and a twisted-rib back (which gives the leg a snug, but stretchy fit). The pattern is easily memorized, making these socks perfect for when you want an on-the-go project with a little more interest.
Disclaimer: With minimal written instructions and a heavy reliance on charts, this pattern is made for those who have a few pairs under their belts. That being said, if you’ve knit two or more pairs of socks in the past decade- you can totally knit this pattern!
NO HEEL INSTRUCTIONS are given in the pattern. Any heel can be substituted in the pattern, but the Fish Lips Kiss Heel was used for the sample. This pattern is offered at $4 so you’re able to head over to the Sox Therapist and use $1 to purchase her heel pattern .
This pattern is written from the cuff down for magic loop. However, you can use dpns, two circulars, 9-inch circs, or whatever suits your fancy! The charts are symmetrical both ways, so you can easily convert the pattern to toe-up.
