This pattern provides instructions for two styles of children’s sweaters, knitted in King Cole Big Value Recycled Aran yarn.

Cable panel 46 stitches measures 19 cm, (7.5”). 17 stitches and 25 rows to 10 cm (4”), over Irish moss-stitch, 18 stitches and 25 rows to 10 cm (4”), over stocking stitch on 5 mm needles or the size required to give the correct tension. Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles, if more use thicker needles.

To fit chest:
(2-3 years: 56cm/22”), (4-5 years: 61cm/24”), (6-7 years: 66cm/26”), (8-9 years: 71cm/28”), (10-11 years: 76cm/30”).

Round Neck Sweater:

(Size 4: 2 ball main shade, 3 ball contrast),
(Size 5: 2 ball main shade, 3 ball contrast).

Hooded Sweater:
(Size 1: 3 balls yarn), (Size 2: 4 balls yarn), (Size 3: 5 balls yarn), (Size 4: 5 balls yarn), (Size 5: 6 balls yarn).
