This pattern provides instructions for a children’s sweater and cardigan, knitted in King Cole DK yarn.

Cable panel 32 stitches measures 9cm, (3.5”). 22 stitches and 28 rows to 10cm (4”), over stocking stitch using 4mm knitting needles, or the size required to give the correct tension. Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles if more use thicker needles.

This pattern requires a stitch holder and a cable needle. When knitting the cardigan, a 3.25mm (UK10 – USA3) 100cm circular knitting needle. The cardigan pattern requires 4-5 buttons.
