This pattern is based on the basic sideways construction method. The edging is knit as you go. It begins with a 7 stitch cast on and slowly increases to the center section. The center is worked in short rows to create a gentle curve around the neckline. A slow mirrored decrease takes you to the other end with a 7 stitch bind off.

The proportions came from my desire to make maximum use of a beautiful 435yd skein of Julie Spins Silky handpainted yarn. NOTE: This pattern is a formula based upon weighing your yarn. An accurate scale measuring to grams is essential for determining transition points between the increase/center/decrease sections.

Finished wrap 8-1/2” at widest by 82” span.

Once you’ve knit the pattern through, you’ll see that there are many ways to modify it. Have fun!
