This cute little Minion is 4.5 inches or 11cm when sitting and knitted in double knit yarn. It is a very simple pattern, and a good pattern to start with if you haven’t made a toy before. An optional pipe cleaner in his arms makes him able to move his arms.

Materials needed: 3.25mm or 3US knitting needles and 3.25mm or 3US double pointed needles
20g or 0.7oz yellow double knit yarn
20g or 0.7oz blue double knit yarn
Small amount of black double knit yarn
Small amount of grey double knit yarn
Stuffing
Black embroidery thread for mouth
2 x 8mm blue buttons
Medium googly eyes
1 x pipe cleaner (optional)

Methods used: Cast on (I use the thumb method), stocking stitch, KFB, PFB, K2tog, P2tog, sew pieces together using mattress stitch.

Other yarns and needle sizes can be used, such as the fluffy Minion. He came out much bigger!
