Pattern description:
This pattern provides instructions for Square and Circular shawls, knitted in King Cole Baby 3ply and 4ply yarn.

Gauge:
Square Shawl -
3ply:
31 stitches and 48 rows to 10cm (4“) over moss-stitch using 3.25mm knitting needles or the size required to give the correct tension.

4ply:
28 stitches and 36 rows to 10cm (4“) over pattern using 3.25mm knitting needles or the size required to give the correct tension.

Circular Shawl -
3ply:
32 stitches and 40 rows to 10cm (4“) over stocking stitch using 3.25mm double ended needles or circular needle or the size required to give the correct tension.

4ply:
28 stitches and 36 rows to 10cm (4“) over pattern using 3.25mm knitting needles or the size required to give the correct tension.

Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles if more use thicker needles.

Square shawls - Approximately:
(Size 1: 91 x 91cm/ 36 x 36”).

3ply Circular shawl - Approximately before pinning out:
(Size 1: 84cm/ 33”) Diameter.

4ply round shawl with border - Approximately before pinning out:
