4th of July Crochet Hat
This pattern is
available for free.
Important notes:
Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver, one ball of each of the following: Red, white, blue.
Level: Easy
Gauge: 12 stitches by 7 rows = 4 square inches approximately
Finished length: This hat only comes in one size. The rim is about 22 in. circumference, and the length is about 9 inches.
Extra important notes: You will need to know how to switch colors with yarn with double crochet. This is called tapestry crochet, it creates a much cleaner switch than just switching colors of yarn. In order to do this, yo over, put hook into stitch and pull up loop, yo, pull through two loops on hook, yo with new color, pull through last two stitches. This is how you will be switching colors in the pattern.
