An entry-level intarsia project. Rows of square blocks are ideal for practicing picking up, twisting, and dropping colours.
To knit larger sizes, it may be easier to use a heavier gauge yarn and larger needles, rather than trying to increase number of stitches, as increasing stitches would affect the pattern.
This is a good stash buster: each colour needs approx. 18 yards of yarn, and colour A requires approx. 70 yards. Note that if larger needles and heavier gauge yarns are used, you will need slightly more yarn.
