509 Crocheted Square
This crocheted square worked in the pineapple design can be made either of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or of Mercerized and Knitting Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and other household articles.
Material Requirements: No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook or Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and a No. 10 crochet hook.
Each square requires approximately 110 yards of fine cotton or 165 yards of heavy cotton.
Stitches used:
Chain = ch
Single Crochet = sc
Treble Crochet = tr
Double Treble Crochet = dtr
Slip Stitch = sl st
Square (7-1/2 x 7-1/2 inches if made of fine cotton or 12 x 12 inches if made of heavy cotton)
