This pattern provides instructions for two styles of children’s cardigans, knitted in King Cole DK yarn.

22 stitches and 28 rows to 10 cm (4”) over stocking stitch, on 4 mm needles or the size required to give the correct tension. Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles if more use thicker needles.

To fit chest:
(0-9 months: 41-46cm / 16-18”), (9-18 months: 46-51cm / 18-20”), (18-24 months: 51-56cm / 20-22”), (3-4 years: 56-61cm / 22-24”), (5-7 years: 61-66cm / 24-26”).

Both cardigan patterns require 5 buttons.
This pattern requires a stitch holder. When knitting the cardigan, a 3.25mm (UK10 – USA3) 100cm circular knitting needle is also required.
